Digital art using Procreate

As a traditional artist, it has taken me awhile to warm up to using any digital programs for creating my art. I have used Photoshop and a Wacom drawing tablet for years to do some illustration because I can create quickly when doing several pages worth. This year I decided to try Procreate and bought an iPad so that I would have a bit more freedom in my drawing. I am still learning, and have not developed a real style with digital creations yet. I do enjoy it, but in a different way than traditional medium.

Traditional medium is a more meditative, calm process, while I find digital to be more stimulating. I’m not sure why. My art studio space is in our sunroom, and we live in the desert, so I do more traditional art in the winter or spring, while the summer months are much to hot to be in the studio. This is why I spend most of my time creating digital art in the summer. Regardless, I am expanding my skills and tools so that I will hopefully be more versatile in doing any commission work.

Lately, I have been having fun with creating GIF art, particularly in the style of Lo Fi, and loving the music that goes with it.
