Autumn is special to me for many reasons. The colors of course are beautiful. But it is the change of season, the turning over that moves me. This piece is named for that experience. When the leaves begin to turn it signals the transition from long days to long nights, morning sun to stormy skies and crisp, chilly air. There is also the promise of newness, of the old letting go and making room for the new. The Turning is symbolic all these things.
